Administrative Assistant -CPA Firm

This position is an administrative position for Akram & Associates. Employee will be working closely with professional staff to help assist in all administrative duties include supporting the audit and tax department.

.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone and greet clients
  • Edit financial statements and proposals
  • Managing supply inventory and ordering
  • Filing and copying
  • New client file set-up and maintenance (paperless)
  • Document scanning and managing calendars
  • Task maintenance for due date monitoring
  • Tax return log-ins and Tax return assembly
  • Financial statements-revisions/assembly
  • Preferred experience with audit and tax software
  • Preferred experience working in a CPA firm

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher
  • Minimum of 1 year in a professional role as an administrative/executive assistant or similar title
  • Strong working experience with Microsoft office, strong excel skills
  • Available to work extra hours per week during busy tax season (Feb, March, and April)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
  • Ability to handle stress while operating with a sense of urgency and using good judgement
